Multiple Value Added!

This tired old home had good bones but was in desperate need of a cosmetic makeover.

Originally a two-bedroom home with an excessively large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room. With careful consideration the kitchen was shifted and a new third bedroom added in its place. Much of the kitchen was repurposed with the edition of new timber benchtops which really complimented the cabinets and the entire space.

Due to the large open plan area, this worked seamlessly keeping the large airy and light feeling of the living, kitchen and dining area but also comfortably allowing the edition of a third bedroom. It all fitted together so well. An excellent use of space. The beautiful Tas oak and myrtle floors were given a sand and polish, really bringing them back to life and creating a warm and luxurious feeling throughout the home.

The bathroom with its bright red spa, was truly a relic from the past. The space was dark and tight so the decision was made to extend outwards, as there was a weird alcove on the outside of the bathroom window that could be easily re-walled providing much needed space within the bathroom area. A larger window and a beautiful resort style freestanding bath were installed on a raised platform surrounded by black stones, really creating a sense of indulgence.

Outside the roof was resprayed, the gardens cleaned up and a deck was added to the rear of the property. Along with this, a studio was built, replacing an old lean-to wood shed. This created an extra bedroom/sleep out or home office/studio or even a gym. It could also serve well as extra storage space.
